Sing and Dance Prayer!

I just uploaded my new designs onto the website. I’m hopeing to get better pictures soon, as I have found a photographer that wants to do a trade. Trading is always so helpful. New York City isn’t too far off. I grew up in upstate NY but have never been to the city. I can’t wait to experience it. San Francisco is my favorite city so far. I feel so much gratitude for the journey my company has brought me on. I have met the most amazing people. When I was in San Fran I met Karnamrita Dasi. I fell in love with her  voice and her beauty at Bhakti Fest, so when I literally ran into her, I was so excited. I was even able to give her a pair of earrings! It was very syncronistic because she lost one of her earrings while dancing!

I’m thinking about taking My Om Designs to Wanderlust in Tahoe this July. It looks like it will be fun with thousands of people there.

Silver is still very high at this time and I don’t foresee it decreasing in the near future with what is happening nationally and around the globe. Much prayer is needed during these times. Singing and dancing, I feel, are also expressions of prayer and what a wonderful way to pray!

San Fran!

My Om Designs is heading to the Yoga Journal Conference in San Francisco January 13th-17th. We are excited to be exhibiting and participating in the yoga community that we love so much. We have several new designs for the new year and a new wholesale catalog.

The Journey!

My Om Designs jewelry products are all designed and produced here in the United States. We feel sometimes that what is involved in the production process isn’t realized by potential customers. Also, when goods are made in the US, the cost will be higher than goods produced in China or Indonesia. We are experiencing reactions to our prices and we appreciate criticism and are trying to cut costs as much as we can. At the same time, though, the nature of the metal and retail markets need to be taken into consideration. Our company is entering the marketplace to succeed, of course, but also as a gesture of sharing that which we believe in, and that is making our country and our world a more peaceful, more community oriented place. And to create jobs here!!!! Blessings to all…Namaste!

Rising Prices

As My Om Designs has had to raise its prices, I decided to research the rising metal market to find out what’s going on. As the dollar weakens, investors search for places to put their money. Gold and silver are of course great places to put cash. In doing this, the prices skyrocket, as we have seen over the last couple of weeks. Then, as the dollar strengthens, investors move their money around once again, lowering metal prices. As a jewelry company, we have to follow the flow of the market, but are looking at other ways to cut costs in order to keep our prices down.

On another topic, My Om Designs is creating new styles and is looking forward to the holiday season. We will be showing at The Encinitas Fall Festival in CA soon as well as in La Jolla! We are dedicated to following a path of truth and free flowing movement. Our jewelry represents this path!
